  • Please,do not upload races that we have in the database. Users uploading existing races can be penalized and if they are doing it in a continous manner, they can be banned.

  • Add Rows: Use button to add new races to that year's championship.

  • Race: This is the name of the race. Names must adhere to the site-wide capitalization standards. When we store titles in the database, we use the original title of the race in its original language, for example, LXV Grand Prix Automobile de Monaco, but sometimes you....
    • Don't have the real name of the race? : In the lack of a name of a race, use our system to order the name of the races.

      Year Championship Circuit

      for example,

      1991 British Formula 3 Oulton Park

    • Use parentheses for several races in a weekend : If a race has two or more races in a weekend, use parentheses to identify each race, for example

      2011 British Formula 3 Oulton Park (Race 1)

    • Use numbers when there are many races in the same circuit in different weekends along the year, in that case only add a number at the end of the name of the circuit, for example:

      2004 British Formula 3 Donington (Race 1) was raced in 2004-04-04,

      and 2nd race in that circuit was raced in another date, 2004-06-27, so the name for that race would be

      2004 British Formula 3 Donington 2 (Race 1)

    • Use ' instead of ´ : Some Italian races have those signs, we strongly demand the use of ' , for example, Grand Prix de'll Mediterraneo

  • Date: Use this date format YYYY/mm/dd (Year/Month/Day) (ex. 1988/08/04). It's important you use this format,because the server will not recognize another one and it will get errors

  • Circuit: When you write the circuit's name, our database helper will search the best one that fits with what you are writing, please, use the names the search box shows you. . If that circuit is not into our database just write the name of the circuit.

  • Laps: The laps of the race

  • Kms: It's the circuit's length. Use points to separate numbers and decimals , for example, if the circuit has 4 kilometers and 565 meters, just write 4.565. Do not write the term 'kms' at the end, ex. 4.565 kms

  • Year: Year of the championship. Use this format YYYY, ex. 1988 .PLEASE, we strongly recommend to write the year in all the races' fields
We will show the username who uploads the races at the top of the table

    If you don't know any pole position related info (driver,team,car or time), write ?? in the field where you don't know that info. Please, it's important you add two question marks ??, not one

    At the same time, take into account that many 2nd or 3rd races of a weekend have not any Qualifying session, for example many Formula 3 races, so just fill all the fields of those races using this -

  • Time: Use points to separate minutes from seconds and so on, for example, a pole position of 1 minute 32 seconds, 263 miliseconds, should be 1.32.263. If you don't know the time, use ??

  • Fastest Lap Driver, Team and Car: Type the driver's,team's and car's names into the search box, your info will show a combination of drivers,teams and cars related to your search.Please, use the names the search box shows you.

    If you don't know any fastest lap related info(driver,team,car or time), write ?? in the field where you don't know that info. Please, it's important you add two question marks ??, not one

  • Time: The same way as Pole Position field. If you don't know the time, use ??

  • Add Row: Use button to add new drivers to the race and qualifying results.

  • Position: All numbers should be listed in standards 1-100 format and use the next abbreviations when the driver has any problem:
    • DNF: Did not finish
    • DNS: Did not start
    • WDN: Withdrawn
    • DSQ: Disqualified
    • DNQ: Did not qualified
    • HDNC: Heat did not classified

    If that driver is not into the database, just write the name.

    If that car is not into the database, just write the name with the next guidelines:

    If the car has a chassis name and an engine, use spaces and '-' to separate both terms ,for example, Williams FW14 - Renault.
    If the name of the car and engine are the same, do not rewrite the name of the engine, for example,

    NO => Ferrari F166 - Ferrari

    YES => Ferrari F166

  • Time/Retire: In this column we have the time used for every driver and the cause of the retirement.

    We will show the username who uploads the race result at the top of the table
5.5 Qualifying Result
  • Add Row: Use the button to add new drivers to the qualifying table.

  • Position: All numbers should be listed in standard 1-100 format.

    If that driver is not into the database just write the name.

  • Entrant: When you write the team's name, our database helper will search the best one that fits with what you are writing, use the result that database offers you.

  • Car: When you write the car's name, our database helper will search the best one that fits with what you are writing, use the result that database offers you.

    If that car has a chassis name and an engine, use spaces and '-' to separate both terms ,i.e. Williams FW14 - Renault

  • Time: Use this format of Time, m.ss.mmm, for example, 1.24.555.

    In the good old days , there were not miliseconds,so they used decimals or only seconds, so, please follow these guidelines:

    • 1m02s25 =>write 1.02.25
    • 3m25s4 =>write 3.25.4
    • 2m14s =>write 2.14.0

5.7 Standings

    For the sake of consistency, we require that all information submitted to the database to be equal according to the following standard guidelines:

    We are not allowing uploads of 2015 standings, because they are easy to get and those results will be updated by us. We want our users take care of standings of older championships.

  • Add Row: Use the button to add new drivers to the standings or press ENTER key.
  • Position: All numbers should be listed in standard 1-100 format. If the drivers have the same points,use the same position to both drivers and jump two places to the next driver, for example

    Position Driver Points

    16 Ralf Schumacher 3 points

    16 Timo Glock 3 points

    18 Patrick Bernhardt 2 points

    Don't use 2nd or 16th, only numbers 2 or 16,

    and don't use the word 'points'.

  • Driver: When you write the driver's name, our database helper will search the best one that fits with what you are writing, use the result the database offers you.

    If the driver is not into the database just write the name.

  • Points: All number points should be listed in standard 1-100 format, if there are half points, just use a point to separate number from decimals (for example 37.5)
  • Championship: When you write the name of the championship, our database helper will search the best one that fits with what you are writing. Please, use the names the search box shows you.
  • Year: Year of the championship. Use this format YYYY, for example 1988 .PLEASE, we strongly recommend to write the year in all the fields,don't leave any blank field.
  • Class: Many endurance championships have different classes. If you are going to upload the main championship standings,leave this field empty, for example if you are going to upload LMP-1 standigs for the World Endurance Championship, leave it blank and send the info, but if you are going to upload any specific class standings ,for example, GTE Am, add that name to the field (PLEASE, in all the fields)

    You can send all classes in the same submit process, just be sure to leave the field blank for the main championship, and fill them with the rest of the classes of the championship.

    Sometimes a driver could have a position in the main championship and another position in his class,add both, for example:

    1 Nick Heidfeld LMP-2

6. Can I report fake results or info?
Yes, every page has this icon , click on it and send us all the info that you think it's wrong. Our moderators will check it and if it's correct, we will change our data.
7. There are two drivers with the same name, but one of them has a number(for example, John Martin 2) at the end of it, why is that?
Throughout history, it is obvious that several drivers have the same names and surnames,so we have decided that the youngest driver has the number, if there is a third driver with the same name, he will get a 3 at the end of his name
8. We are not allowed to upload present year results of Formula 1,GP2,GP3 and IndyCar races, why?
Mainly because they are easy to get and those results will be updated by our admins. We want our users take care of minor championships or the older ones
9. I uploaded a qualifying or race result but another user has uploaded it before, what does happen with all my work?
Don't worry about your wasted time, we will take it into account, we will give you the half of points if you had been the first uploader, but with a condition, your uploaded results must be into the 10 minutes range after the first user uploaded his results. By the way, we will show a message in every upload page indicating if there is another user, writing or uploading results, so you won't have to write anything in vain
10. Why uploading qualifying results gets more points than uploading race results?
Mainly because, right now, our database has not too much qualifying results at all, and that's our most valuable info that we need in this moment.
11. Why I see so many races uploaded by AdminRY user?
All those races were submitted by Racing Years stuff. Right now, the most of the database is uploaded by us, but we hope that can change in the future with your help .
